U.S. Mint Calls a Halt on America’s Silver Eagle Coins?

According to silverdoctors.com, the U.S. Mint has called a halt on the production of the 1 oz American Silver Eagle coins due to lack of sales, but the thedailycoin.org reported otherwise. The daily coin reported that AP has halted or slow down the purchases of the silver eagle and not the production of the coin. What we do know is the demand for silver has grown over the past few months, but this has not play in favour of the silver eagle coins has sales fall from approximately 1,000,000 coins a week to 150,000 coins a week. Silver Doctors reported that one of the VP they spoke to expects the US Mint to be stuck with a large inventory of 2016 coins at the end of the year.
